“Becoming a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant & Officiant is more than a natural evolution of my personal knowledge and professional development – I consider it my calling.”
After spending more than 15 years as a career consultant, I began making an important vocational transition in my own life. I realized that in helping my clients navigate their challenges and opportunities, I was also preparing for my journey.
Becoming a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant & Officiant is more than a natural evolution of my personal knowledge and professional development – I consider it my calling. To quote Bertha von Suttner, the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I believe that “after the verb ‘To Love,’ ‘To Help’ is the most beautiful verb in the world.”
My interests, knowledge and the skills I honed over the years have provided a strong foundation for my work as a Celebrant. I’m known as the event planner for my family and friends, having been called upon to plan wedding anniversaries and birthday celebrations. Besides my own experiences with joy, love and loss, my research and studies include, bereavement, symbolism and ceremony design.
I am compassionate, conscientious and outgoing, and to paraphrase one of my mentors, Dr. Alan Wolfelt, I am committed to helping people celebrate well and mourn well so they can love well and live well. Because life itself is a living celebration, there are many milestones which deserve to be honoured and shared with loved ones.
I look forward to discussing your needs, beliefs and values so that we can truly make your occasion a unique and memorable one.
